Also championships.
And East Pennsylvania also makes cars. Why does Michigan even exist anymore?

How about those PA Jettas, though, amiright?!
Central PA: Lycoming aircraft engines, best piston powerplants in the business.

Scrapple is the reason that I moved back to Eastern PA.
Not really, but it is a nice perk of living here.

Are you close enough to Jersey to be able to easily find pork roll/Taylor ham?
I’m convinced they are the two best regional meat concoctions.

Oh yes. I’m in the Lehigh Valley. One of the diners that I frequent for lunch has scrapple and pork roll.

The US should be split at the Rocky Mountains. Anything east of the Rockies should be given to...Uzbekistan.

Not far at all from the meat haven of Hatfield.
Have you been to Yum Yum’s Bakeshop in Quakertown before? Best doughnuts in the world.

Yes, I’m quite familiar, although I’d argue that Duck Donuts of the Outer Banks NC makes for some good competition.
Years ago I used to be a mattress salesman in Quakertown, but that was in another life. Are you also in this general area? I wasn’t aware of any other LV Oppos.

I’m in the ever growing tourist trap that is the poconos. I pass through the LV area quite a bit .

Nice. I’m in Allentown but when the weather is nice you’ll find me and my Miata anywhere between here, Hickory Run state park, Jim Thorpe, and the Delaware water gap.

You might recognize a lot of these places then.
Lots of brilliant driving roads in this area that is for sure.

Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to check it out when it isn’t time for bed.
Here’s a few pics from my last fall drive in the Miata. You’ll probably recognize a few.
I also just realized that you’re the owner of Gus, who I’ve featured for Fur Face Friday before. If you’re ever interested in an Eastern PA Oppo meet/ dog hang out, I’ll bring Olive and my Miata.

That picture of the Chinook reminds me of when they flew low over I believe Ullswater here in Cumbria for filming Star Wars.

Because I’d rather eat Uzbek food than whatever it is they eat in the Midwest.

Are you in NJ / NYC / Nashville area?

Phoenix. Most of the Uzbeks here are from the Jewish Bukharian community.

hold up. Bukhara Jews moved to a place other than NYC?
This is the biggest news to me this year yet. Whoever moved from Phoenix from my country must not miss winter at all.

Yeah, there is a fairly sizable population here now. It’s funny, because no one outside of the Orthodox community knows what a Bukharian is, and they usually just tell people they’re Russian.

Haha, sounds about right!
In what part of town are they self segregating? I’m fascinated now.
